It will be playing in seven different cities, on 11 nights and in a span of less than three weeks.

It won't, however, be coming soon to a town near you.Sound like life on the road for a rock group? Perhaps the itinerary of a traveling circus? Or the agenda of a presidential campaign?

Not exactly.

Let the Grizzlies "Tour de IHL" begin.

For the next three weeks, they'll be the far-from-Utah Grizzlies.

Fans in Peoria, Milwaukee, Kansas City, Atlanta, Cleveland, Chicago and even Fort Worth can catch the Grizz in action over the next 20 days. But because of the overbooked Delta Center, hometown fans in Salt Lake City won't get another glimpse of their team until April 3.

The road show kicks off tonight at 6 p.m. as the Grizz travel to face the Peoria Rivermen, who are 32-33-4 and third in the Midwest Division. Utah, now 41-21-3, has won both games between the two teams so far this season.

Milwaukee is the next site of the trip with the Grizzlies making a visit on Wednesday night against the Admirals.

The Grizzlies will actually return to Utah for a five-day break before hitting the road again for a brutal stretch of nine games in 13 days.

Utah, which trails Las Vegas by 11 points in the Southwest Division race, needs to do well on the road to ensure itself of a good position for the playoffs. The Grizz would be the No. 3 seed if postseason play was to begin today, but San Francisco has pulled within eight points in the fourth spot.
