A clothing company and not its president has to come up with most of the $750,000 a jury awarded to Roseanne and ex-husband Tom Arnold.

The two had sued Celeb-Sales, saying they were owed the money under a November 1993 contract in a big-size clothing deal. The ex-couple wanted CelebSales President Stanley Warner to pay the $750,000, which a jury awarded them Friday.

But Warner must pay only $250,000, a judge ruled Monday. The company must pay the rest.

Lawyers refused to say whether the New York-based company has the money.

The company had countersued for $24 million, claiming Roseanne and Arnold reneged on an agreement to market the clothing on cable TV and generated publicity so vile that no one would want to buy the clothing.
