Beloved wife, mother, grandmother and friend, Katherine Bowman

Cannon passed away March 11, 1996 in Salt Lake City, Utah.Born December 1, 1910 to John F. and Edna Melissa Smith Bowman in Salt Lake City where her father served as mayor. Attended L.D.S. High School and the University of Utah.

She married T. Quentin Cannon in the Salt Lake Temple on Sunday, Aug. 26, 1934 in a ceremony performed by President Heber J. Grant.

She served extensively in the MIA, Primary, and Relief Society auxiliaries of the LDS Church. She was president In both Ward and Stake MIA organizations. While on special assignment for the Church, she acted as MIA advisor to all of Europe. She served three times as a Relief Society president and as a member of the Relief Society Stake Board.

She did much volunteer work including PTA, was active in many civic organizations, and was president of the Women's Republican Club. She also served with her husband while he presided as Mission President in Germany. On their release, she was called to the YWMIA General Board, where she served for ten years. She traveled extensively around the world on behalf of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

Survived by her children, Thomas Q. Jr. (Gayle M.), Dr. Richard B. (Judith S.), Kathleen Cannon Pinnock (Roger B.), J.F. (Janet A.), 16 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. She is also survived by a brother, Joseph F. Bowman (Jane), and sister, Ruth Cannon (Howell Q.), sisters-in-law, Ellen Bowman, June Orme and Margaret Cannon; and brother-in-law, Allan Acomb. Preceded in death by her husband, T. Quentin Cannon; brothers, John H. And Richard Bowman, and sister, Dorothy B. Acomb.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, March 14, 12 noon, Cottonwood Second Ward, 2080 East 5165 South. Friends may call at the Larkin Mortuary, 260 East South Temple, Wednesday, 6-8 p.m. and at the Ward on Thursday, 10:30-11:30 a.m. prior to services. Interment, Salt Lake City Cemetery.
