An LDS missionary from Bountiful died Saturday evening after suffering an allergic reaction to a bee sting while serving in Tonga.
M. Lee Miller, 62, who was serving a teaching mission with his wife, Bonne,, in the Tonga Nuku'alofa Mission, was in a remote area of the mission when the incident occurred, according to information received by the church's Missionary Department.Elder Miller, a retired Church Educational System employee who had been in the mission field since early January, died very quickly before medical services could be obtained, said Don LeFevre, spokesman for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
Before their mission the couple resided in the Bountiful East Stake.
