I believe the public, in time, reaches the point where they become completely disillusioned with all politicians and their continual pointing of the finger at the other person or party. It would surely be welcomed if they would have the courage to admit a mistake and cooperate in the correction of it instead of trying to cover up their boners by blaming someone else.
I personally believe no measure is so clearly cut that it can be decided strictly on party lines. When I see a measure in Congress or in a state's Legislature being decided on which party initiated it, I begin to doubt the integrity of all concerned. Elected officials are elected by the public at large and not by a group affiliated under some particular banner.Robert A. Coles
