A South Cottonwood man has been charged with attempting to kill his brother earlier this month.

The man, 29, was charged Tuesday in 3rd Circuit Court with attempted murder, a second-degree felony.

Police were called to a house near 5300 South and 1300 East on March 9 and found Erik Eastlyn with stab wounds to his leg, abdomen, chest, neck and face.

The man repeatedly said he was going to kill his brother, according to court documents. He was arrested a short time later.

The man remains in the Salt Lake County Jail in lieu of $100,000 bail.
