Our beloved mother, daughter, aunt, sister, grandmother and friend, Gina Cherie Birch Cook, age 45, passed away after a long, courageous battle with cancer on March 13, 1996.
She was born August 2, 1950 in Price, Utah, to Floyd and Hilma Birch. She graduated from Carbon High in 1968. She married Mervin Ray Cook on June 19, 1968. They were divorced in 1980.She was a member of the LDS Church and was a resident of Salt Lake City. Her outgoing personality will be missed by everyone who knew her. She will be dearly missed by her family and friends. We hope the memory of Mom shines on, like the blue in her eyes.
Survived by her mother, Hilma Pollock Birch, Price; three children, Kristie Rae Cook, Rhett Clair Cook, Tiffani Cherie Cook, all of Salt Lake City; five grandchildren, Beau, Tysha, Alexis, Tristan and Nathan; brother, Keith P. Birch; sisters, Bonnie Birch, and Connie Bogenschutz, all of Salt Lake City. Preceded in death by her father, Floyd Clair Birch.
Viewing services will be held at the Winder West Stake Center, 1250 East 4530 So., Salt Lake City, on March 15, 1996 from 6-8 p.m.
Funeral services will be Saturday, 2 p.m. in the Spring Glen LDS Ward, 1985 West 4000 No., Spring Glen, Utah; viewing from 12-2 p.m. Burial will be in the Price City Cemetery.
