Keith Moss McMurrin, 84, passed away March 13, 1996 in Salt Lake City.

He was born May 4, 1911 in Salt Lake City to Joseph W. McMurrin, Jr. and Gertrude Melissa Moss McMurrin. Keith married Jean Shepherd, November 30, 1944 in the Mesa Arizona LDS Temple. He graduated from Ogden High School in 1928 and later attended Los Angeles City College. He served an LDS mission to Great Britain from 1934 to 1936. Keith resided in Los Angeles and Burbank, California from 1928 to 1984 where he reared a family and was employed as a clerk for the U.S. Postal Service. After retirement in 1972, he developed a love for the mountains of southern Utah where he spent much of his time near Zion National Park, his second home.He spent his early years with his grandfather on the Deseret Livestock Ranch in northern Utah, a life that he always cherished. During World War II he served five years in the U.S. Army, assigned to Alaska and Europe.

Keith McMurrin is survived by his four children, David S. McMurrin, William S. McMurrin, Jean Ann McMurrin and Shelley McMurrin. He was one of four brothers, Blaine (deceased), Sterling and Harold. He has eight grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at Larkin Mortuary, 260 East South Temple in Salt Lake City at 2 p.m. on Saturday, March 16, with interment at the Hoytsville Cemetery in Summit County.
