Murl L. Rawlins, age 79, passed away on March 12, 1996.
He was born November 29, 1916 in Lewiston, Utah to Alpheus L. and Mabel Lloyd Rawlins. He married Mary Josphine Hellewell on May 24, 1939 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. She preceded him in death January 1991. He served as a member of the Mormon Tabernacle Choir for over 25 years and was a member of Swanee Singers. He also enjoyed dancing and was a scouter, serving in the Cub Scouts. He was a member of the Railroad Historical Society and a past member of the Bountiful Lions Club.He is survived by his son, Murl, Jr. and wife, Penny, three grandchildren, Megan, Heather and Spencer of Heber City; brothers and sister, Lloyd Rawlins, Bountiful; sister-in-law, Barbara Rawlins, Glendale, Calif.; Warren (Mary) Rawlins, Nauvoo, Ill.; Eva Webster (Max) of Woods Cross.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, March 16, 1996 at 1:30 p.m. at Russon Brothers Bountiful Mortuary, 295 North Main, where friends may call Friday evening from 7-8 p.m. and Saturday morning one hour prior to service. Interment, Bountiful City Cemetery.
