The Great Salt Lake Council of the Boy Scouts of America will present its highest honor, the Silver Beaver Award, to 54 Salt Lake area men and women March 19.
The award was first authorized by the Boy Scouts of America in 1932. Recipients of the honor, to be presented at 7:30 p.m. in the Bountiful Regional Center, are those with "impressive records of outstanding service" in Scouting, church and the community. The public is invited.Lawry Hunsaker, council president since October 1991, will be the speaker.
