Dora Regina Stehlin Ahmu passed away Wednesday, March 13, 1996 in American Fork, Utah.
Born April 23, 1916 in Western Samoa to Edmund and Selina Godinet Stehlin. She married Olsen Ahmu June 20, 1936 in Apia, Western Samoa. Later sealed in the New Zealand LDS Temple. She grew up in Western Samoa and later moved to New Zealand with her family. She and Olsen fed and cared for numerous LDS missionaries in Samoa and New Zealand. She and Olsen moved to California in 1970, where they served as temple workers in Los Angeles LDS Temple. She and Olsen moved to Alpine, Utah in 1993. She leaves a large void in the lives of many and will be greatly missed.She is survived by her husband and three daughters, Margie Puriri, Alpine, Utah; Olivia F. (Philip) Harris, Captain Cook, Hawaii; Sally (Bing) Gascoigne, Auckland, New Zealand; 18 grandchildren and 32 great-grandchildren, whom she dearly loved. She is also survived by her brother Joseph Stehlin, Western Samoa; and sisters Yvonne Betham, American Samoa; and Lina Hill, Auckland, New Zealand.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, March 19, 11 a.m. at the Alpine 1st Ward (Temple View) Chapel, 676 N. Eagleview Drive. Friends may call Sunday March 17, from 6-8 p.m., at Anderson & Sons Mortuary, 49 East 1st No., American Fork; and on Tuesday, one hour prior to services at the church. Internment, Alpine Cemetery
