Sarah Melvina Fuller Bridges, 93, died March 13, 1996.

Born April 22, 1902 in Nashville, Tennessee to Columbus Hubbard and Lillie May Buchanan Fuller. She married Stanley William Bridges April 9, 1927. He died April 4, 1956 and she never remarried. She moved from Tennessee to Utah at age six and has also lived in Idaho and California. Although small in stature, she was big in compassion and love. She never had a bad word to say about anyone and all who knew her loved her.Sarah loved animals and flowers and her home was always surrounded by beautiful flower gardens. She had a green thumb and could make anything grow. She loved her family with all her heart and sacrificed all she had for them. Her grandchildren and great-grandchildren were the joy of her life. If ever an angel lived, it was her. May God rest her soul.

She is survived by three sons and daughters-in-law: Don and Jean, Irvine, California; Bert and Terri, Las Vegas, Nev.; Glen and RaNae, American Fork; five grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren; sister, Grace Mae Cox, Hacienda Heights, Calif.; and several nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by her husband, two brothers, and a daughter-in-law.

Services will be held Monday, 1 p.m. in the Salt Lake City Cemetery. Friends may call at Anderson & Sons Mortuary, 49 East 100 North, American Fork, Sunday 6 to 8 p.m. and Monday from 11 a.m. to 12 noon.
