Elwood Delyle Lambert, age 83, died Thursday March 14, in Salt Lake City, at his home of heart failure.

He was born November 3, 1912 in Fillmore, Utah, to Charles William Lambert, and Lillie Walch Lambert. He married Libbie Utley in the Manti Temple, Jan. 17, 1934. He served an LDS mission in Missouri, 1931-1933, and with his wife, in Montana, 1980-1981. He also served in many LDS Church positions including MIA presidencies, high councils, bishoprics, as bishop, and for the last 23 years, as patriarch in the Mt. Olympus North Stake. He was an accountant and worked for 22 years in the Western Accounting office of J. C. Penney Company. He was also an administrator for LDS Hospitals, and elected as Millard County Clerk.He is survived by his wife; five children, sons, Neal (Anne), Gary (Barbara), LeeR (Karen), Gordon (Jacquelyn), and daughter, Annette (Steven) Suite; 38 grandchildren, 28 great-grandchildren; a brother, Philip, and a sister, Vada Rasmussen.

Funeral services will be held at 12 noon Monday, March 18 at Mt. Olympus 10th Ward Chapel, 3610 East 3510 So. Friends may call at Wasatch Lawn Mortuary, 3401 So. Highland Dr, Sunday evening, 6-8 p.m., and Monday 10:30-11:45 a.m. at the ward prior to services. Interment will be at Wasatch Lawn Memorial Park.
