Katherine Bowman Cannon, 86, a member of YWMIA General Board from 1962-72, died March 11, 1996, in Salt Lake City. Before serving on the general board, Sister Cannon served with her husband, T. Quentin Cannon, while he presided as a mission president in Germany.

- Alta Amanda Jensen Vance, 90, a member of Relief Society General Board from 1948-53, died March 6, 1996. She earned bachelor's and master's degrees in social work from University of Utah, and established the social work department at Shriner's Hospital in Salt Lake City.- Paul H. Evans, 70, who for 27 years was executive producer and production director of the Tabernacle Choir's radio and television broadcasts and was for many years executive director and producer for general conference broadcasts, died Feb. 23.

For 20 years he was in charge of electrical and sound engineering for the Church's pageant at Hill Cumorah in New York, and was director of music performances and engineering for Columbia Records with recordings of the Tabernacle Choir.
