A few months ago the TV news noted that the Midwest has added musical instruments, singing and dancing in their school curriculum, resulting in a noted improvement in school attendance, grades and conduct.

I was informed that funding for the above activities is being cut in Utah school districts.This appears to contradict the above studies and should upset every parent and resident in the culturally oriented state of Utah.

I strongly encourage everyone in Utah to petition Gov. Leavitt for added funding for the above classes. We don't want to slip farther off the educational scale.
