Beloved husband, father, grandfather and brother, Everett Van Orden Peck Gold, age 85, died March 9, 1996 in Scottsdale, Arizona.

He was born September 6, 1910, in Salt Lake City, son of Cyrus William and Annie Alazana Peck Gold. He married Thelma Lucille Gruber on September 3, 1938. They've lived in Panama, Salt Lake City and Phoenix, Arizona. His counsel and example to his family was and always will be "Remembered who you are and who you represent."He was an active member of the LDS Church, serving as high councilor, stake clerk, stake missionary, stake YM president, Gospel Doctrine teacher, and other callings. He served in the Swiss-German Mission from 131-33, and always loved the German language and the people.

He is survived by his wife, Thelma of Phoenix, Ariz.; son, Bill Gold (Sharon); and five daughters, Linda Jackson (Malan), Carol Curtis (Jim), Brenda McGee (Roscoe), Marsha Allen (David), Tami Ruybal (Rudy); 34 grandchildren; and 30 great-grandchildren; brothers and sisters, Josephine Knudsen (Alvin), Milton Gold (Linnie), Geneva Quist (Lowell), Ardella Jensen (Merton), Joel Gold (Nellie), Wayne Gold (Helen), Stanley Gold (Lynn), Gladys VandeMerwe (John), Barbara Weight, Lettie Foote (Len).

He was a great fisherman, hunter, golfer and an avid gardener. Before retiring, he was the general agent of Arizona for Occidental Life Insurance of California and ran a successful insurance agency.

Services were held Saturday, in the Camelback LDS Ward, 40th Street and Oak Street, Phoenix, Ariz, directed by Paradise Chapel Funeral Home. Interment, East Resthaven Cemetery in Phoenix.
