Dale Scott Hancock, age 70, died March 16, 1996, in West Valley City, Utah.

Born March 12, 1926, in Magna, a son of Winfield Scott and Mable Emily Shaw Hancock. Married Shirley Guiver on September 26, 1960, in Elko, Nevada. The marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple.Dale was an active member of the LDS Church, serving as Aaronic Priesthood general secretary. Elders Quorum secretary, MIA counselor, stake clerk, and High Councilman overseeing the stake farm for many years. He loved camping and traveling with his family. Enjoyed hunting, fishing, ceramics, and working with all kinds of crafts. Enjoyed fixing up and maintaining his house and yard. He was a wonderful and dedicated husband and father and will be dearly missed.

Survived by his wife; son and daughter, Scott Darrell and Shirleen Hancock; sisters, Donna Martinson and Lois (Douglas) Anderson. Preceded in death by brother, John Lowell Hancock.

Funeral services will be Wednesday, 1 p.m. at Hunter 15th Ward, 5000 West Pavant Avenue (3710 South). Friends may call Tuesday, 5-8 p.m. at McDougal Funeral Home, 4330 So. Redwood Road, and Wednesday at the church, 12-12:40 p.m. Interment, Wasatch Lawn Memorial Park.
