Winners have been announced in the North Salt Lake Regional History Fair, recently held at West High School.

Students in grades four through 12 presented history research projects, competing for the opportunity to advance to the state contest.Presented by the Utah History Fair, a program of the Mountain West Center for Regional Studies at Utah State University, students were encouraged to explore the Utah statehood centennial as they addressed the theme "Taking a Stand in History."

Students competed according to their age group in four categories: historical papers, projects, performances and media presentations.

Awards were given for first, second and third place.

Junior Division - first place: Michael Clark, Bryant Intermediate; second place: Amit Raikar, Bryant Intermediate; third place: Michelle Scott, Bryant Intermediate, Cliff Parkinson, Bryant Intermediate, and Tava Uluare, Glendale Junior High.

Senior Division - first place: Leah Wojcik, West High; second place: Ian Tomb, West High; third place: Alan Heins, West High, and Ben Johnson, West High.
