The executive director of the Utah Partnership for Educational and Economic Development will speak at a Brigham Young University department of physics and astronomy lecture Wednesday at 4 p.m. in W140 Benson Building.
Val A. Finlayson will speak on "New Energy Sources for Utah." The free lecture is open to the public.Utah Partnership for Educational and Economic Development is a non-profit corporation that promotes a statewide collaborative effort on the part of business, education and government to strength-en the economy of Utah through education, training and research.
Before joining Utah Partnership, Finlayson was an electric utility executive with PacifiCorp in Utah and Washington. He received his doctorate in nuclear engineering from the University of Utah.
