Two Salt Lake County men have been charged with murder, a first degree felony, in the stabbing death of a 27-year-old man inside the Salvation Army last week.

Miguel Carillo-Gonzales, 22, and Jaime Antonio Buruos, 22, were charged in 3rd Circuit Court Monday in the slaying of Christopher Gibbs March 13 inside the center's kitchen, 423 W. 300 South.Prosecutors say Carillo-Gonzales stabbed Gibbs several times with a knife as Buruos held Gibbs down. Police said a fight had broken out minutes earlier outside as people were gathering for dinner at the facility.

Charges state that two witnesses told investigators they saw the the two suspects attack Gibbs when the fight moved into the kitchen. Two other men were injured but not seriously in the fight. Gibbs died from multiple stab wounds, a medical examiner's report said.
