Jordan High social studies teacher Phil Broadhead has been named the Sandy Chamber of Commerce High School Teacher of the Year. Students describe Broadhead, an alumni of the school, as a teacher who "makes history come alive."

Through Broadhead's leadership and vision, Jordan High is a finalist for selection of a new Utah Education Network sight for Ed-Net and Utah Link.Broadhead also is the technology committee chairman at the school.
