Passengers disembark from Southwest Airlines Flight 1767 after an emergency landing Tuesday in Ontario, Calif. One passenger prayed aloud and others wept as the jetliner with a disabled landing gear touched down on its remaining wheels and skidded to a halt, dragging an engine on the runway. None of the 127 people aboard the Las Vegas to Burbank flight was injured. The captain made several attempts to set the left main landing gear and also tried to jar it free it with a touch-and-go landing before diverting to Ontario.
