I had heard so many negative things about rest homes for the elderly, it worried me when it became necessary to put the last of my siblings in one. What a blessing it was to find the Richfield Care Center.
Because of the things I had read or heard, I watched carefully, and critically, the actions of those caring for patients; of course, I made sure they were not aware of my observation. Not once did I ever see any lack of patience, or any irritability by any of those caring for patients. Their compassion was outstanding. The Richfield Care Center had no obligation to me personally, however, they called to keep me updated on Lyle's health. After several attempts to reach me, they called our local police to check on me, concerned that at my age I might need help. This was above and behyond their call of duty, and I feel it was very commendable.
