J. Ronald Galli has been appointed dean of Weber State University's College of Science.
Galli has been serving as interim dean since Cyrus McKell retired Dec. 31, 1994.A member of the WSU physics faculty since 1972, Galli has held a number of teaching and administrative positions, including physics department chairman.
He teaches physics 101, is a member of the Hemmingway Foundation Board of Trustees and serves on several university planning committees.
While serving as interim dean, Galli restructured the geology and geography departments, established the position of senior fellow of science and helped organize the bioremediation program and community partnerships.
Galli was graduated from the University of Utah with degrees in physics/mathematics and a doctorate in physics/metallurgy.
