Mexicans look over wreckage of a plane that crashed in northwestern Mexico Friday, killing 16 and seriously injuring three others. The twin-turboprop plane was carrying miners to a remote silver and gold mine when it crashed about 100 feet from the runway in Santa Maria de Otaes, a small mining town in Durango. The pilot and co-pilot were killed with 14 others. A mining company used the plane to fly miners in the area twice a week.
