WASATCH PRESBYTERIAN MARKS ITS 50TH WITH OPEN HOUSE

Wasatch Presbyterian Church, 1626 S. 1700 East, will host an open house today from 2 to 5 p.m. to celebrate its first 50 years of community and worldwide Christian service. Guided tours, refreshments and organ music will be provided. The church was organized by the Presbytery of Utah on June 28, 1946, when Third Presbyterian and Westminster Presbyterian united. There were 293 charter members.

The congregation offers opportunities for all ages, including junior and senior high youth groups, Boy and Girl Scout programs, vacation Bible school, mission groups and a non-denominational preschool. The public is invited to the open house.
