CENTENNIAL BALL IS FRIDAY IN PROVO

The Provo Centennial Organizers will host a Mayor's Centennial Ball, beginning at 6:30 p.m., Friday, May 17, in the Historic County Courthouse.

The evening will include dining, dancing, horse-drawn carriage rides and music by the Ray Smith Band and Provo High School Jazz Band.Dinner will be served at 6:30 p.m. The carriage rides will be offered throughout the evening and will tour Provo's historic homes in the downtown area. Local elected officials and guests wearing Centennial period attire will be invited to participate in a promenade which will take place at approximately 8 p.m.

Tickets for the event are $15 per person. Old-fashioned photos will be available for an additional charge. Tickets are available from the mayor's office or the Department of Energy. For more information call 343-7389.
