Gladys Lucille Stevenson Shaw, 86, of Orem, passed away on May 10, 1996 at her home.

She was born July 8, 1909 in Ogden, Utah to Alfred and Meribell Bramwell Stevenson. She married Glenn Charles Shaw on January 8, 1932 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. Lucille was a member of Altrusa International, Utah State Nurses Association and the American Nurses Association. She was named nurse of the year in district III Nurses Association and served as Supervisory Nurse at the BYU Health Center, Operating Room Supervisor at the Utah Valley Regional Medical Center, received the 25 year service award from the American Red Cross. She and her husband served an LDS Mission in the Ft. Lauderdale Florida Mission from 1980-1982. She served faithfully in many callings for the LDS Church throughout her life. Lucille was an outstanding wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.She is survived by her husband, Glenn C. Shaw and six children, Glenn Keith (Margaret) Shaw, Marilyn (Jean-Pierre) Schroemges, Brent Stevenson (Joan) Shaw, David Michael (Cynthia) Shaw, Karren Ruth (DeNile) Williams and Suzanne Shaw; 17 grandchildren and 27 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by two infant children, Bernadine and Robert.

Funeral services will be held Monday, May 13, 1996 at 10 a.m. in the Orem Stake Center, 1000 North Main St., Orem. Friends may call Sunday, May 12, 1996 from 6-8 p.m. at the Sundberg-Olpin Mortuary, 495 South State St., Orem, and Monday from 8:30 a.m. to 9:45 a.m. prior to services at the church. Interment will take place Monday in the Aultorest Memorial Park Cemetery in Ogden.
