DEATH: THELMA EVANS BORG

Beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and friend returned home to her Father in Heaven Friday, May 10th.

The youngest of 12 children, Thelma was born January 16, 1913 in Preston, Idaho to Isaac B. Evans and Bessie Bolin Evans. She spent the first five years of her life in Idaho, moving to Salt Lake in 1918 when her father died.Thelma married Elden K. Borg March 31, 1938. She was everyone's "favorite checker" at Sudbury and Maxwells Foodtown, Vaughn's IGA, and Smiths. The past year she has been a volunteer in cardiac care at Holy Cross Hospital. Her greatest source of accomplishment and joy was her family which she loved unconditionally. Her passing has left a great void in our lives.

Survived by her husband; two daughters: Sharon (Phil) Sloan of So. Bend, Indiana; CeCie (Jeff) Scharman of Salt Lake; eight grandchildren: Laura Mabry, Mary Sloan-Malerba, Kathy Sloan, Sheila Evans, Raegan, Allyson, Tyler, and Colton Scharman; nine great-grandchildren, two sisters: Beth Hague of Salt Lake; and Anne D. Burrows of Quincy, Ill.

Family and friends are invited to a celebration of her life on Wednesday, May 15, 1996 at noon at Mountain View Memorial Estates Mortuary, 3115 E. 7800 So., where friends may call on Tuesday evening from 6-8 p.m. and again on Wednesday one hour prior to services. Interment: Mountain View Cemetery.

The family wishes to thank Dr. H. Castle, all the staff and her friends at Holy Cross Cardiac Rehab for giving her five great years.
