David Michael Lockhart, Master Mechanic, 39, died Saturday evening while helping a friend.
David, the only son of Shirley Dan and M. Marjorie Lockhart, was born in Salt Lake City, February 1, 1957. Graduated from West High School. He married Cynthia Ekstrom (divorced), married Julie Lindquist (divorced). David was a self-employed Master Auto Mechanic and designed and built two diesel powered jeeps and two diesel powered trucks. His love of the automobile, both gasoline and diesel, led him to repair, rebuild and restore many beautiful cars, buses and motorcycles. David loved the mountains and deserts and spent his free time in camping and exploring. He was a friend to everyone. There are many people experiencing car trouble along the road who David stopped and helped, whether he knew them or not. He will be greatly missed by his friends and family.David is survived by his parents, a sister, Susan Lockhart Stirland, a niece, Ashley Nikol Stirland, a nephew, Ian Jeffery Stirland, and his very best friend, Squeaker.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, May 15, 1996, 12 noon at Larkin Mortuary, 260 East South Temple, where friends may call Tuesday 6-8 p.m. and one hour prior to services. Interment, Mountain View Memorial Estates Cemetery.
