DEATH: EILEEN PETERSON KNISS DAHL

On May 12, 1996 (Mother's Day), our loved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend was called home. At the time of her death, she was residing at the Rocky Mountain Care Center in Holladay, Utah.

She was born April 24, 1913 in Castle Dale, Utah, the daughter of Marinus and Josephine Peterson. She married Stanley L. Kniss and lived in Montana until 1950 when they were divorced. She then moved to Salt Lake City to be near her family. In 1979 she married Bert O. Dahl in the Salt Lake Temple. Eileen was a member of the LDS Church. She enjoyed music, handwork and most of all her family. She was a very loving, caring and generous person. Eileen was a beautician and worked at ZCMI, Heiner's Charleston Salon of Beauty and later owned Eileen's Beauty Salon.She is survived by one daughter, Kathlyn A. Moore and her husband, Michael; three grandchildren, Michelle Hood (Jim), Byron J. (Lynda) and Troy D. (Lori); five great-grandchildren; a sister, Nina; and a brother, Grant. She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, three sisters and four brothers.

Graveside services will be held Tuesday, May 14, 1996 at 1 p.m. at the Wasatch Lawn Memorial Park (Rest Haven Section), 3401 South Highland Drive. Funeral directors, Wasatch Lawn Mortuary.
