DEATH: CLYDE O. "TOMMY" GREEN

Clyde O. "Tommy" Green, 78, of Pleasant Grove died Sunday, May 12, 1996 of an extended illness.

He was born March 25, 1918 in Lindon, Utah to Owen V. and Leah Bunnell Green. He married Reva B. Harper, September 26, 1939. She died September 17, 1942. He later married Majorie Brown, June 25, 1944. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Manti Temple, November 12, 1955. They had 52 wonderful years together.He served in the U.S. in France during World War II. After returning from France he was employed as a truck driver. He later worked for the Tooele Army Depot as a heavy equipment mechanic and retired after 17 years. He was a member of the Pleasant Grove and Orem Riding Clubs. He was a district representative for the State Riding Club. He also served as a member of the Strawberry Days Rodeo Committee. Clyde loved horses all his life. He also dearly loved his children and grandchildren.

He is survived by his wife of Pleasant Grove; and three sons: Clyde O. (Nancy) Green, Baum Holder, Germany; Earl (MaxAnn) Green, Lindon; Roger B. Green, Pleasant Grove; seven grandchildren and ten great grandchildren. Additional survivors include a brother and sister: Harold J. (Melvina) Green and Elizabeth Smith.

Funeral services will be held Friday, May 17, 1996 at 11:00 a.m. in the Pleasant Grove Ninth Ward Chapel, 455 East 200 South, Pleasant Grove. Friends may call Thursday evening from 6-8 p.m. at Olpin Family Mortuary, 500 South 300 East, Pleasant Grove and at the church on Friday fro 9:45-10:45. Burial will be in the Pleasant Grove City Cemetery. Military rites will be performed by District IV of the Veterans of Foreign Wars.
