A paraglider from Canada remains hospitalized for injuries he suffered crash-landing the craft in northeastern Provo Tuesday night.
Provo Police investigators say Robert Gardner, age unknown, was trying to land the glider on the south end of Imperial Way shortly before 6 p.m. But the terrain was too rugged, and Gardner was injured when he struck several large rocks.Emergency and police crews from Provo responded to the scene within minutes of an initial report. Gardner was transported to Utah Valley Regional Medical Center. He remains in serious but stable condition for back injuries, a hospital spokesman said.
