DEATH: JOANNE EARL BATEMAN

Joanne Earl Bateman, 65, died May 14, 1996 at her home following a long battle with cancer.

Born March 28, 1931 in Salt Lake City to Joseph Adam and Annie Elisabeth Butterfield Earl. Married Gale H. Bateman in Salt Lake City August 22, 1957; later solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. Joanne was a teacher in the Salt Lake, Santa Ana, California, and Granite School Districts. She was very creative with her hands and loved to make afghans, doilies, quilts, etc., and holiday remembrances for friends. Joanne was active in her church, loving the young people she taught in classes and on the dance floor as dance director. She loved her home and her yard.Her family was the love of her life. We love you, Sweetheart.

Survived by her husband, Gale; sons, Blair Earl, Provo; Joseph Henry and wife, Desiree' Fuller, Dothan, Alabama; four grandchldren, Joey, Zach, Cody, and Quinn; and a sister, Norma Earl, Salt Lake City.

Funeral services Saturday, May 18, 11 a.m., in the Olympus 5th Ward, 3070 South Nila Way. Friends may call at Goff Mortuary, 8090 So. State, Friday 7-9 p.m. and at the ward Saturday 10-10:45 a.m. Interment, Larkin Sunset Gardens.
