The heightened security came amid reports that Iran sent a Hezbollah guerrilla to carry out bomb attacks in Israel last month. The man, identified as a Lebanese citizen, managed to smuggle through airport security enough explosives to blow up an airplane. He was seriously injured when a bomb he was preparing blew up prematurely in a Jerusalem hotel. Details about the case could not be published until Thursday when a gag order obtained by police was lifted. Police said the connection to Iran was established during the investigation.
