With unwavering faith and trust in God, Rondie Ann Harris, 17, passed away May 10, 1996 in Miami, Florida, due to complications following a multi-organ transplant.

Born Feb. 13, 1979 to Ronald D. and LuAnn Hamnett Harris, both natives of Alpine, Utah, Rondie was a powerful example of courage in facing pain and disappointment. Ill from age 7, of a rare digestive disorder, she expressed thanks for everything that was done for her, even painful medical procedures. As Rondie's life became centered in her room, her love for her family and friends grew. She enjoyed sports, animals and music, was a faithful correspondent and avid reader, and clean and modest in her personal care and surroundings. She read the scriptures and wrote in her journal daily. She planned for the future, always speaking hopefully of "when I'm better".Rondie's family includes her parents; brothers Casey and Jeffrey; sister Jacqueline; grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. A. Grant Harris, of Provo; Mr. and Mrs. Vaughn Hamnettm of Alpine. Rondie's spirited personality and quick humor will be a sweet memory to her friends and family.

Funeral services will be Saturday May 18, at 11 a.m. in the Alpine 7th Ward 165 No. 100 East. Friends may call Friday 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. at the Anderson & Sons Mortuary 49 East 100 No., American Fork and at the church one hour prior to services. Burial in Alpine Cemetery.
