The 1997 edition of the Scott Standard Postage Stamp Catalog will now reflect the world market rather than be restricted to the United States.
"It is time that Scott abandons its isolationist policy of valuing for the U.S. market only," says Stuart Morrissey, vice president and publisher of Scott Publishing.Stamp buyers in all parts of the world have changed the nature of the stamp business. The prices that collectors in the United States pay for stamps is strongly influenced by the home market abroad for the same stamps.
The 1997 catalog will be released later this year.
