An open house will be held until 6 p.m.Friday at the West Point substation of the Davis County Sheriff's Office to mark National Law Enforcement Week and National Emergency Medical Services Week.
The sheriff's office has opened substations in West Point, South Weber and Bountiful and is currently negotiating to open a fourth one in Fruit Heights. Patrol and paramedic services, along with some investigations, are handled out of the substations.The West Point substation also houses an ambulance, the third to be stationed in the north end of the county by the sheriff's office. The other two are stationed in Kays-ville and at Davis Hospital in Layton.
Patrol units, paramedic rescue vehicles, and an ambulance will be available at the substation, located in the West Point City Hall, 3016 W. 300 North.
