Our darling "Aunt Care Bear" passed away peacefully Mother's Day. Riddled by pain and chronic health problems, she was always there for all of us with a beautiful smile, and a song, and an encouraging word.

Carolyn was born November 11, 1923 in Atlanta, Georgia to Malcom and Effie Mae Huie. She enjoyed a successful career as a nurse anesthetist and many of her patients remained friends. Carolyn's love and trust for the Lord was an inspiration and comfort to us all. She was an accomplished poet and vocalist and loved singing hymns. She was a natural around animals and leaves behind her two beloved poodles.Carolyn is survived by Nancy Reddish, Sara Helen Bahr, Mae Hancock Fortson, Evelyn Anne Newman, Elise C. Ware, Carolyn Virginia Nixon, Kathryn Davis, and Alfred Middlebrooks.

Special thanks to Mimi Reddish, the Levet family, the Halander family, giving and understanding neighbors; Dr. Kurt Francis and the staff of St. Mark's Hospital, Reverend Ron Hodges and his congregation, and to all of Carolyn's friends.

A memorial service will be held Sunday, 12:30 p.m., Christ United Methodist Church, in Salt Lake City. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the youth ministry at the church.
