DEATH: CLARE ROSE COLLINS-SMITH

Clare Rose Collins-Smith died peacefully in her sleep on May 14, 1996 in Bermuda.

She was the adored wife of the late Cyril Everard "Bunny" Smith and beloved mother of Sandra Milburn Boucher.She was born May 19, 1908 in South Kensington, London, England, the youngest of seven children born to Adam Frederick and wife Sarah Jane (Eddington) Zimmerman. In 1932 Clare married her first husband, the late Charles Milburn Bathgate, native of East Lothian, Scotland, and father of Sandra. In 1960 she married the late William Henry "Harry" Collins of Worthing, Sussex, England, and following his death, in September 1965 she came to Bermuda.

Following her retirement in August, 1983 as Executive Housekeeper at Harmony Hall Hotel, Bermuda, Clare obtained a condo in Salt Lake City and became a "snowbird" in order to devote the remainder of her life to temple work. Clare spent between three to four months annually doing temple work in her beloved Salt Lake Temple where she is well-known to many of the workers. While in Salt Lake she attended the 18th Ward, Eagle Gate Stake, where she has many wonderful friends.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, May 20, 1996 at the Eagle Gate Stake Center, 135 No. "A" Street where friends may call from 9:45-10:45 a.m. prior to services. Interment, Salt Lake City Cemetery. Funeral directors Wasatch Lawn Mortuary.
