I am writing in regard to the ban on school clubs. I am a student at West High School, and I am very upset about the issue of the gay/lesbian clubs.
I don't think that the school board made the right decision in this issue. Many of the banned clubs were perfectly acceptable and very important to their members and the school. For example, the Builder's and Key clubs are service clubs. Their purpose is to make the community better and to get the students actively involved and interested in service projects. Why must these and other similar clubs be banned because of one club that was unacceptable?Elizabeth Luker
