LICENSE SUSPENDED IN BANK-FRAUD CASE

The Utah State Bar has suspended the license of Michael Lee based on his conviction on charges of bank fraud on March 13, 1996.

The order was issued Monday by Judge Pat Brian of the 3rd District Court.Lee was sentenced to one year in prison and three years probation after he confessed to forging a signature on a check, opening an account in the name of the payee and depositing the check in the account.

Lee will remain on suspension and cannot practice law in Utah pending the findings of a disciplinary proceeding filed at the same time as the request for suspension.
