- JAMIE GARCIA TERRES, a noted Mexican poet and essayist deeply involved in Mexican national affairs, has died in Mexico City of complications from a heart illness. He was 71. Garcia Terres was an ambassador to Greece from 1965 to 1968, served as an administrator and magazine editor at the Institute of Fine Arts from 1948 to 1953, and published several works of poetry and literary criticism.
