10 GRANITE SCHOOL DISTRICT TEACHERS AND 1 PRINCIPAL RECEIVE GROUP'S EXCEL OUTSTANDING EDUCATOR AWARDS

Ten teachers and an elementary school principal have received the Granite Education Association Excel Outstanding Educator Awards.

The following people received awards: Linda Bernini, third-grade teacher, Plymouth Elementary; Patricia Boswell, fourth-grade teacher, Eastwood Elementary; Carole Pay Colemen, history teacher, Eisenhower Junior High; Gay Jackson, Spanish teacher, Kearns Junior High; Wendy Jones, sixth-grade teacher, Howard R. Driggs Elementary; Barbara Kuehl, math teacher, Cottonwood High; Shauna Perkins, kindergarten teacher, Roosevelt Elementary; John Seaman, school psychologist, district student services department; Cleo Taylor, second-grade teacher, Calvin S. Smith Elementary; Margo Thompson, English teacher, Olympus High; Mary Grace Bowling, principal, Stansbury ElementaryEach will receive $1,000, a Franklin Planner and a statuette depicting the importance of education in a child's life. The educators are nominated by students, patrons and peers.
