FOUR SECOND-HALF GOALS GIVE RAPIDS WIN

Shaun Bartlett had two goals and an assist Sunday as the Colorado Rapids scored four goals in the second half to beat the Columbus Crew 4-2 in Major League Soccer.

Bartlett scored the first goal for Colorado (3-4) in the 49th minute, followed with the tying goal in the 73rd minute and assisted when Richard Sharpe scored in the 88th minute to make it 4-2.Marcelo Balboa scored the winning goal in the 80th minute with a header off a corner kick by Roy Wegerle.

The Rapids, who won their first road game and ended a three-game losing streak, led 11-4 in shots on goal and 13-11 in total shots.

Columbus (3-5) had taken a 2-0 halftime lead on goals by Brian McBride, the league's leading scorer, in the 27th minute and Doctor Khumalo on a penalty kick in the 42nd minute. McBride's goal was his seventh of the season. The Crew have lost three of their last four games.

A crowd of 20,184 was at Ohio Stadium.

Revolution 2, MetroStars 0

At Foxboro, Mass., Alberto Naveda scored one goal and set up another to lift the New England Revolution to a 2-0 victory over the New York-New Jersey MetroStars Sunday in Major League Soccer.

The Revolution (3-3) ended a three-game winning streak for the MetroStars (3-4).

Naveda's header from the right side of the box in the ninth minute deflected past goalkeeper Tony Meola off a MetroStars defender about six yards from the net.

The Revolution's second goal also started with Naveda, who sent a long pass down the left wing to Welton. Paul Keegan converted Welton's cross for his first goal of the season.
