BUZZ LOSE LEAD, GAME TO TRAPPERS

The Salt Lake Buzz were unable to hold a lead, bowing 5-4 to Edmonton Sunday in 10 innings to complete their four-game series with the Trappers.

The loss was the third in four games and dropped the Buzz 41/2 games behind the Trappers in the PCL's Northern Division.In all three losses the Buzz had leads.

Sunday, the Buzz jumped out 2-0, 3-2 and 4-3 leads, the last one being in the top of the 10th on Tom Quinlan's single.

But reliever Scott Watkins was unable to hold it, allowing a single, triple and another single to give Edmonton the victory.

The Buzz took their 2-0 lead in the first inning on back-to-back doubles by Matt Lawton and Mitch Simons and a single by Quinlan. Quinlan's fifth home run of the season in the sixth gave the Buzz another lead at 3-2.

The Buzz are at home tonight against Tacoma at 7 o'clock for the first of four games against the Raniers.
