What legally can and can't be said or done cooperatively by doctors, hospitals and health-care systems will be the subject of a conference sponsored by the Utah Association of HealthCare Providers Thursday and Friday at Snowbird, according to Rick Kinnersley, president.

Using the theme "Collaborative Problem-Solving," the Thursday sessions will feature Robert Leibenluft, assistant director of the Federal Trade Commission's Health Care Division, and Richard J. Bogue, director of the American Hospital Association's Health Services Research.Other sessions will focus on antitrust rulings and litigation dealing with hospital and systems sales, mergers and business ventures. On Friday, National Football League referee Jerry Markbriet will tell about how being prepared for success is the same in the business world and the playing field.
