DEATH: HARRIETT PARRY MILLBURN

Harriett Marie Parry Millburn, age 48, of Sandy, died at her home Monday, May 20, 1996, following a two year battle with cancer.

She was born August 18, 1947, in Provo, Utah, to John (Jack) and Lois Parry. She grew up in Idaho Falls, Idaho, and graduated from Idaho Falls High School. She married Ronald R. Millburn of Tooele, Utah, on February 1, 1969, in the Idaho Falls LDS Temple. They were married for 27 years.She graduated from BYU in 1969 and taught school in Vernal, Utah. She has been a resident of Sandy for the past 22 years. She was a devoted mother of six children and an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, serving faithfully in the Primary, Relief Society, Young Women's and Scouting organizations of the church. She received a Paralegal Degree from Westminster College in 1990, and for the past six years has been employed in the clerk's office of the U.S. Federal Court. Throughout her courageous struggle to stay with her family, she never lost her contagious smile, her quick wit, or her faith in God. She is an inspiration to all who had the privilege of knowing her.

She is survived by her husband, Ron; five sons: Spencer (23), Brett (20), currently serving a mission, Michael (16), Matthew (14), and John (13); and by one married daughter, Stephanie Smith (Michael) of Provo, Utah (22). She is also survived by both parents; two brothers: John (Renee') Parry and Steven (Sharon) Parry, all of Idaho Falls, Idaho; and by two sisters: Jacqueline (Mark) Fuller of Idaho Falls, Idaho; and Kristine (Glade) Powell, of Provo, Utah.

She was preceded in death by one sister, Sue Roe, of Idaho Falls, Idaho.

The family would like to thank all those who showed their love for Harriett during her illness, especially those of the Federal Court who donated their sick leave hours to her, and demonstrated their love for her in so many ways.

Funeral Services will be held Friday, May 24, 1996, 12 noon in the Sandy, Utah Crescent North Stake Center, 1050 East 10600 South, Sandy, Utah. There will be a viewing Thursday night from 7 to 9 p.m. at the Larkin Sunset Gardens Mortuary, 10600 South 1700 East, Sandy, Utah and at the church Friday from 10:30-11:45 a.m.

Interment, Larkin Sunset Gardens.
