DEATH: WANDA MATSON ELIASON

Wanda Matson Eliason, 84, died May 20, 1996 at her home in Moroni, Utah.

Born April 10, 1912 in Mt. Pleasant, Utah to Joseph and Hannah Lena Madsen Matson. Married O. Leonard Eliason, Jr., July 20, 1939 in the Manti LDS Temple.Wanda was an active member of the LDS Church, serving many years in the Young Women's program and also taught Primary and Sunday School. She graduated from North Sanpete schools and went on to receive her R.N. degree from Holy Cross Hospital in 1931. She worked as Public Health Nurse in Eureka and at Dee Memorial Hospital in Ogden. She worked as operating room nurse at Sanpete Valley Hospital and for 30 years was known as "school nurse" in the North Sanpete School District, also serving for 30 years as public health nurse for Sanpete County.

Survived by her husband, Leonard; one son, O. Frank Eliason (Becky), Moroni; two daughters, Kathryn Eliason, Orem; Janet Eliason Maylett (Greg), Manti; ten grandchildren and six great-grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. Louise Spencer and Mrs. Margaret Katsanevas and one brother, Rex C. Matson.

Funeral services will be Thursday, May 23, 1996 at 11 a.m. in the Moroni Utah Stake Center. Viewing Wednesday evening from 7 to 9 p.m. at

Ursenbach Funeral Home and Thursday from 9:45 to 10:45 at the stake center. Interment will be in the Moroni City Cemetery under the direction of Ursenbach Funeral Home.
