DEATH: SYLVIA MARIE WHITE

Sylvia Marie Sorensen White, 91, died May 20, 1996, Salt Lake City.

Born October 5, 1904, Logan, Utah to Peter Hartvig and Caroline Fredricksen Sorensen. Married Walter White September 28, 1927 in the Logan LDS Temple. He preceded her in death January 23, 1977.Graduated from Brigham Young College in Logan, Utah, with a degree in teaching. Active member of the LDS Church, she served in the Primary presidency for eight years and as a stake missionary. She was captain of the Adella West Hoagland Camp of the Daughters of the Utah Pioneers for six years.

Survivors: son, Walter Howard White and wife, Margaret, Boise, Idaho; daughter, Mrs. Carroll Fill, Salt Lake City; eight grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services Friday, May 24th, 10 a.m. Larkin Chapel, 260 East South Temple, where friends and family may call on Thursday 6-8 p.m. and on Friday, one hour prior to the services. Interment, Smithfield City Cemetery.
